Tiran and Karvan is a limited plain with a relatively gentle slope that decreases from west to east. The lands of the city and its heights belong to the third geological period and are part of the internal foothills of Zagros, its only source of surface water; It is the Karvan (Morghab) river, which springs from the heights of Dalankoh.
According to the latest divisions of the country, Tiran and Karvan cities have two parts called Central and Karvan and four villages called Rezvaniyeh. Out of the area of 171.000 hectares of the city, more than 121.000 hectares are national and state lands and about 111.000 hectares are pastures, of which 85 thousand hectares are summer pastures and 26 thousand hectares are pastures. It is estimated.
